Q: Is there any difference in transmission distance when this SMF/MMF module is used in single-mode or multi-mode environment?
A: Yes, this transceiver supports up to 220m over OM3 multimode fiber and supports 300m over singlemode fiber.
Q: Can this transceiver be used with 62.5 MM fiber?
A: I think you'd better choose the OM3/OM4 cables for this 10G optics, as far as I know, the 62.5 MM OM1 cables OM1 cables usually work with the 1G SX optics.
Q: Besides the LC duplex connector, how do I know what fiber is needed for this MMF/SMF module?
A: For this transceiver, we suggest you choose OS2 for singlemode or OM3/OM4 for multimode,will transmit up to 220m if you use the OM3/OM4 cables, while 300m if you work with the OS2 singlemode cables.
