MVSLINK QSFP-200G-2Q56AOC is a QSFP56 VCSEL-based (Vertical Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser), cost-effective 200Gb/s to 2 x 100Gb/s active optical splitter cable (AOC) designed for use in 200Gb/s InfiniBand (IB) HDR (High Data Rate) and 200GbE systems.


The MFS1S50 cable is compliant with SFF-8665 for the QSFP56 pluggable solution. It provides connectivity between system units with a 200Gb/s connector on one side and two separate 100Gb/s connectors on the other side, such as a switch and two servers.

Q: Whether the InfiniBand cables MFS1S50-H001E can be used on Ethernet switches?
A: Yes, InfiniBand cables MFS1S50-H001E can be used for both IB and Ethernet, but Ethernet cables can only be used for Ethernet.  MVSLINK provides both high cost-effective IB and Ethernet cables for your options.


Q: We have some QM8700 200G switches connected with the original IB cables MFS1S50-H001E , whether there'll be any incompatibility problem if we use them with your cables?
A: MVSLINK IB cables are perfect alternative option for Mellanox MFS1S50-H001E, beyond IBTA industry bit-error-rate (BER) standards. We can provide the technical test report for your specified original device environment.


Q: What are the differences between 200G HDR, 100G HDR100, and 100G EDR?
A: 200G HDR uses 4x50G PAM4 modulation, HDR100 uses 2x50G PAM4 modulation, and 100G EDR uses 4x25G NRZ modulation. Generally, 200G HDR devices can be backward-compatible with both HDR100 and EDR, but EDR devices cannot be compatible with HDR100 or HDR.


Q: What's the difference between QM8700 and QM8790 switches? Whether there is a difference in the selection of the cables?
A: There is no difference in function and performance between QM8700 and QM8790. QM8700 is managed, and QM8790 is unmanaged (out-of-band management). MVSLINK can provide 200G IB AOC and DAC cables that can be used with the two switches.
