SFP+ 10GBASE-BX10-U Transceiver Module (SMF, 1270nm-TX/1330nm-RX, 20km, LC, DOM)
SFP+ transceiver supports up to 20km link lengths over OS2 SMF via an LC simplex connector. This 10G BiDi SFP+ transceiver, featured data transmission over a single strand of fiber, one transceiver transmits a 1270-nm channel and receives a 1330-nm signal, whereas the other BiDi SFP+ optics transmits at a 1330-nm wavelength and receives a 1270 nm signal. Digital diagnostics can also be used through the I2C interface designated by SFF-8472 to allow access to real-time operating parameters. Each BIDI SFP+ transceiver module is individually tested to be used on a series of switches, routers, servers, network interface cards (NICs), etc.

A: The primary difference from traditional duplex optical modules is that the BiDi optical module operates as a simplex module allowing the customer to double the utilization of the existing fiber. A: Hello, the two modules are different in form factor, but they can be used together as long as the rates and transmission distances are the same. The XFP-10G-BX 1330nm-TX/1270nm-RX can be used with the SFP-10G-BX 1270nm-TX/1330nm-RX.
