Q: What is the maximum transmission distance of the this module?
A: It can transmit up to 500 meters when paired with single-mode MPO/MTP fiber jumpers.
Q: Is the QSFP112 port backward compatible?
A: The QSFP112 port is backward compatible with traditional QSFP 40G (4x10G), 100G (4x25G), and 200G (4x56G-PAM4) modules and cables.
Q: What is the difference between QSFP112-DR4-400G and QDD-DR4-400G/OSFP-DR4-400G?
A: The packaging is the primary distinction. QSFP112 and OSFP use 4x100G/lane, but QSFP-DD uses 8x50G/lane. Additionally, compared to QSFP-DD and QSFP112, the OSFP form factor is bigger.
Q: Can I use this module on one end and interconnect it with a QSFP112 DR4 400G or OSFP DR4 400G module on the other end?
A: Yes, QSFP-DD, OSFP and QSFP112 only describe the module's physical form factor. For optical modulation, all three modules use 4x100G PAM4, allowing for interconnection.
Q: Can this module be used as 200G? Is there any configuration required?
A:QSFP112-DR4-400G can be reduced to 200G without any additional configuration.
