Optical Transceiver Module SFP Module
MVSLINK Cisco compatible SFP+ transceiver supports up to 10km link lengths over OS2 SMF via an LC simplex connector. This 10G BiDi SFP+ transceiver, featured with data transmission over a single strand of fiber, the one transceiver transmits a 1270-nm channel and receives a 1330-nm signal, whereas the other BiDi SFP+ optics transmits at a 1330-nm wavelength and receives a 1270-nm signal.
Each BIDI SFP+ transceiver module is individually tested to be used on a series of switches, routers, servers, network interface cards (NICs) etc. Featuring low power consumption and high speed, this 10G BIDI SFP+ transceiver is ideal for enterprise wiring closets, service provider transport applications, Radio & Baseband Units, etc.

Q: What is the main difference between the BIDI module and the conventional optical module?
A: The primary difference from traditional duplex optical modules is that the BiDi optical module operates as a simplex module allowing the customer to double the utilization of the existing fiber. Besides, bidirectional transceiver doubles the amount of network equipment that can be attached to the same set of 4 fibers, compared to regular transceivers.
Q: Whether this transceiver is having both Transmitter and Receiver at one single point?
A: Yes, this module is a single fiber bidirectional module that utilizes wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) technology for bidirectional transmission.
Q: Since it is simplex, is it transmit at the wavelength of 1270nm from End A to End B, and receive at the wavelength of 1330nm from End B to End A at two different time?
A: Filtering is accomplished through the filters in the optical module, while simultaneously transmitting the TX optical signal and receiving the RX optical signal, or vice versa.
